One day I will win for bringing peace to earth by wiping out ll organic life, then resurrecting it as an army of unholy zombie nazi cyborgs to bring death and horror to an unsuspecting galaxy.

I will win it because I will stack the unholy zombie nazi cyborg Nobel Prize committee with pawns, just like FDR did the Supreme Court!

Right there with you on this one AD. I wish I could win an internationally recognizable prize for accomplishing NOTHING.

I am glad he somewhat reformed the United States 'brand' on the international stage, but that was just the result of speeches...and not being George Bush.

I always thought you had to DO something to get that award.

Oh well.

They've been going downhill in the credibility department for a while now. The first overtly flagrant pandering came with the Gore prize, but this just goes to prove that the Council has lost its objectivity and any claim to credibility. Real peace advocates must be stripping their skins off.

There's no way that asshats like Gore and Obama deserve to be held in the same regard as MLKJr and Rabin.

That being said, though, for the first time since he took over, Obama has pledged to do something (although, pretty much all he's done is pledge, at this point - the only campaign promise he's actually kept has been getting a new dog for his daughters) that I agree with. Overturning the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy is long overdue.

Also, being such that we're talking about Gore and his lies, I should point out a man that's the Reason to Gore's Lunacy.

Lord Christopher Monckton has compiled the science disproving the concept of man-made global warming and most of the conclusions of the IPCC and Gore and his Environazis. It's low budget, but he made a movie too, called "Apocalypse? No!" in which he holds a presentation of the scientific evidence that contradicts or disproves the whole global warming hysteria.

My favourite part is when he explains the difference between causality and correlation that Gore uses as 'evidence' that higher CO2 means higher global temperatures by showing a correlation between global temperatures and the number of Republican Senators in the US Senate over the last hundred years. The correlation is remarkable, but it's ridiculous to posit that the number of Red Senators and global temp have any effect on one another.
